St Ninian’s next week is Traidcraft Sunday: the stall will be open in the Hall before and after the 11:00 Service.
Ian Stockton a former rector here has published a book of poems called Mindscape and Melody. Details of how to buy a copy are on the noticeboard.
Mark Smith has been appointed as Minister of Dunscore linked with Glencairn and Moniave and sends his thanks for the prayers and support he and Debbie have received.
Healing Blankets are available in both churches. If you know of someone suffering illness, grief or loneliness, in need of a ‘comforter’, please take a blanket from the front of church. The recipient will know that they are enfolded in the prayers of the church.
Donations for local Food Banks can be left at the back of both churches. St Ninian’s supports CD ‘Helping Hands Food Bank’ and Christ Church supports Kirkcudbright Food Bank. Non-perishable foods please, also toiletries. NB: Please will you write the Best Before Date clearly on food items. This helps the people at the Food Banks and saves them time looking for hard to find dates.
