Traidcraft Sunday – Next week is Traidcraft Sunday. The stall will be open in the Hall before and after the 11:00 Service.

Diocesan Day of Prayer – 3rd August will be a Diocesan Day of Prayer for the Electoral Synod for the Vacancy in See, Glasgow & Galloway. Please pray for all those involved in this. The diocese has published prayers to add to our own prayers; they are on a separate sheet.

Ecclesiastical Insurance’s Church Competition – Parish Pixels – Ecclesiastical Insurance is running a photography competition, where one Anglican church in Scotland will win a prize of £1,500 and also be in with a chance of winning a further £5,000. Churches are asked to submit one photo and one sentence that shows how special and unique their church is. Full details on poster on noticeboard. Closing date 31st October 2019.

St Ninian’s MU Bookstall – During the summer there will be a bookstall in the Hall and donations of books would be very welcome. Please bring them and leave them in the basket by the font (or speak to Marjorie).

Healing Blankets – Healing blankets are available in both churches. If you know of someone suffering illness, grief, or loneliness, in need of a ‘comforter’, please take a blanket from the front of the church. The recipient will know that they are enfolded in the prayers of the church.

Food Bank – Donations for local Food Banks can be left at the back of both churches. St Ninian’s supports CD ‘Helping Hands Food Bank’ and Christ Church supports Kirkcudbright Food Bank. Non-perishable foods please, also toiletries.
