Back to School 25th August is the Back to School service at 11:00 at St Ninian’s with the Blessing of the Backpacks. Invite families with school age children and young people to join us and bring their school bags for a blessing. Also invite any teachers or school personnel for this special service.

Presentation 25th August after 11:00 Service, come see how St. Ninian’s fares in the virtual world. There will be a brief demonstration of our new website, Facebook, and Instagram presence in the church hall. Ecclesiastical Insurance’s Church Competition – Parish Pixels
Ecclesiastical Insurance is running a photography competition, where one Anglican church in Scotland will win a prize of £1,500 and also be in with a chance of winning a further £5,000.
Churches are asked to submit one photo and one sentence that shows how special and unique their church is. Full details on poster on noticeboard. Closing date 31st October 2019.

St Ninian’s MU Bookstall: during the summer there will be a bookstall in the Hall and donations of books would be very welcome. Please bring them and leave them in the basket by the font (or speak to Marjorie).

Healing Blankets are available in both churches. If you know of someone suffering illness, grief or loneliness, in need of a
‘comforter’, please take a blanket from the front of church. The recipient will know that they are enfolded in the prayers of the church.

Donations for local Food Banks can be left at the back of
both churches. St Ninian’s supports CD ‘Helping Hands Food Bank’ and Christ Church supports Kirkcudbright Food Bank. Non-perishable foods please, also toiletries.
